Why is climate important to water conservation?
Climate change directly affects water shortages and water surpluses.  In Central Illinois, when temperatures increase, evaporation of bodies of water also increase, while precipitation decreases.  Based on previous data, estimates demonstrate we can expect to see less precipitation and more evaporation in the future, which will place an increased strain on water supplies.
